Dear Steam User,

We have been having recurring problems with multiple user(s)

signing on to the same account, ergo; several people using the same account

from

different IP Addresses at the same time. In order to prevent this, we are

authorizing a validation process, in which you, the contact e-mail

registered to Steam, e-mail us a code in which you authorize every time

you login to ensure that no one shares your account. To validate your

account within the next 5 days (otherwise it will be disabled), respond to

this

e-mail software.valvesupport@gmail.com in the following format;

Username:

Password:

Code:

IMPORTANT: You must enter the above information into the Steam

application.

Signed,

{The Steam Support Team}

To contact us about this problem email support@steam-powered.com,

otherwise

respond to the e-mail above

You think somebody is trying to hack me, or it's really valve?

P.S Did somebody got this email too?

Its fake they would never ask for your password and why would they use @gmail.com? it would be something to do with valve

took it off the steam site

"Deny requests for login and password information from other users. Do not share your account login information with anyone. No reputable gaming clan will ask for your login information to join. Game server administrators do not need your Steam account information."

Obviously fake. A gaming company will never ask for your password or information. Period. Doesn't matter what links or fake email they give you. Period.
