Valve email or hacker?

Its fake they would never ask for your password and why would they use @gmail.com? it would be something to do with valve

someone is trying to hack you. valve would NEVER ask for your password. They already have it. also the email is from gmail.com which right away tells you its an imposter

Obviously fake. A gaming company will never ask for your password or information. Period. Doesn't matter what links or fake email they give you. Period.
