NO wonder so many SG members get their account jacked, gullible people.

No business would ever use the word "Ergo" especially in a customer service message, what the fuck.

recorded? the whole point is they dont fucking need your user or pass to do anything. even if they were giving you a free game, they'd just find your account and do it that way.

I mean sure its on their servers somewhere encrypted to high heaven, but they dont need it, ever.

Support emails are always titled with "Steam Support", and their email is

email@support.steampowered.com

Steam Support will never email you out of the blue.

If you log a support ticket, you will get an automatic response:

(None of your business) is the information you do not need to know.

Hello,

A staff member has replied to your question:

Hello Daniel,

Thank you for contacting Steam Support.

In order to investigate this issue, we must verify your ownership of the software and associated Steam Account(s).

If you registered software purchased at a retail location, please handwrite your Support Incident Reference No. (None of your business) and your Steam account username on the quick reference card or sticker above the CD Key and reply with a digital photo or scan of the CD Key. Please ensure that you submit a full-color image, rather than a photocopy.

If you have any difficulty locating the CD Key on the packaging, please see the following link:

URL: (None of your business)

Example scans:

If you purchased software through Steam with a credit card, please confirm the card type (Visa, Mastercard, Discover, American Express), full name, expiration date, and last four digits of the card used with the order(s).

If you purchased software through Steam through PayPal, please provide the PayPal account holder billing information (name and address) and the PayPal Invoice ID.

After verifying your proof of ownership we will gladly assist you with this issue.

(Link Removed)

When you visit that page, your password will be reset, and the new password will be emailed to you.

Your username is: D-Leet

To edit your profile, go to this page:

All the best,

And, the last type of email they may send you is with a email that is something like:

noreply@steampowered.com

meaning, you don't reply to those.

The only times you will get a logo (the only times I have ever gotten a logo), is when I purchase a game online (I don't know where I put those emails, and SquirrleMail is being all gay...).

Or we could put it this way, really simply: Valve can do whatever the hell they want with your account at any time, they dont NEED your password.
