Are TF2 map playable on CS:S?

Are TF2 (and any other source game/mod) maps playable on CS:S? I thought that since they all use the Source engine, they are all compatible with each other. True or false?

 

And if it is possible, how can I do it.

Different games have different entities, and are built differently. For example, L4D (while still using the source engine) has entities which control the zombies. These aren't around in CSS, so you couldn't port the map directly. If you remove any entities that are built differently (in TF2, I know ladders are done differently then in CSS, correct?) then I wouldn't be surprised if it would work, but it'll need a bit of editing.

It is playable as long when it is a .bsp extension.

But however MPQC is right, entities are different wich means that you aren't able to spawn.

Also custom textures won't work, if it isn't pakratted or in the right map.
