Gentoo Posted September 26, 2019 Content Count: 1577 Joined: 06/19/17 Status: Offline Share Posted September 26, 2019 I understand that the Server Management has already given their ruling on this MANY times, but this continues to be brought forth as a grievance with the server. The decision is something along the lines of "Innocents delaying shouldn't be against the rules, and you should just get used to rounds dragging on." Because this has been so consistently brought up for so long, I don't think it's entirely fair just to rule this out as a few grumblers. The people who play this server every day should have more of an impact on server rulings than how the gamemode has historically been played. By rephrasing the issue at hand, it may be easier to approach and find a solution. While people often say that Innocents are delaying rounds, what they are really upset about is that rounds are dragging on with very few people left and they are unable to find each other. This can be rephrased as "Ts do not consistently have the tools necessary to track down the last Innocents in late round" or even "Innocents do not have sufficient incentive to risk their lives in search of evidence to kill the last Ts". Regardless of how you see it, regulars on the server DO find this to be an issue. Possible solutions may be granting Ts radar automatically when 4 or less players are alive, fixing the radar system, or automatically IDing bodies after a certain time period. Regardless, I'm asking the team to consider this topic one last time from a more neutral and holistic perspective in hopes of making the server more enjoyable. I understand if you guys still have the same stance on this, but being open to new suggestions or even entertaining a discussion would be appreciated. I understand that the server managers were put in place because of their knowledge and judgement regarding the server, but when something is complained about this many times for this long, it's possible that bending to the constituents may be the better option here. 3 Link to comment

We will update you guys regarding this thread / rule I think the whole point of Gentoo's thread is so this can be discussed among us all. Don't you think that would be a better idea to have everyone decide rather than just 3 people? 1 Link to comment

Don't you think that would be a better idea to have everyone decide rather than just 3 people? Go to any other innocents delaying thread those has been discussed in detail many times. At the end of the day the managers make the decision not any regular. While it is common place to take ideas and opinions from the community we have no 100% control over the server. So the managers discussing it is the most important as they make the final decisions as to what gets changed. Edited September 26, 2019 by Joe. Link to comment

Don't you think that would be a better idea to have everyone decide rather than just 3 people? It has been discussed in detail... Here, here, here, aaaaaand here. And I'm sure there are even more threads than these. It's not about us not wanting regulars opinions and not having discussions, because as you can see it's been discussed many times over. I personally don't see a huge issue with innocents delaying as much as you guys say. But, as Ned mentioned, we'll be discussing it this weekend. Please be a bit more patient with us. 2 Link to comment

Live checks are easily dodged with simply answering, 'I'm alive' while hiding 9 miles away, it's honestly targeting people who are none the wiser; it honestly doesn't change much, but with more on the way, I am hopeful. 2 Link to comment
