TheZZL Posted October 3, 2019 Content Count: 3293 Joined: 10/28/18 Status: Offline Share Posted October 3, 2019 I've questions/concerns about the detective orders that, from my knowledge, have not been talked about yet. Ordering AFK's I believe ordering an AFK to follow an order is unreasonable, so we should have something in place to stop that. I think making a rule like, "Detectives are not allowed to give unreasonable orders" would clear that up. That would include other unreasonable orders like "jump off the map" and "kill in console". Detectives giving orders from far away I understand Detectives should be able to give orders from far away, but me having to abide by them when the Detective's nowhere near me is annoying. Detectives should strictly be allowed to give warnings if they see that the person is not following their orders. I assume it's already like that, if it is I suggest adding it to the F.A.Q.. Innocent Orders I've already seen admins warn players about giving Innocent orders, I think it should be added in the rules somewhere. 1 Link to comment

The ordering of AFKs should tie in along with the “you can’t kill AFKs” since you are not even giving them a chance to do anything. Below is a RULES/FAQ update and shows the orders only allowed to be given by detectives. Detectives are allowed to kill someone that disobeys these orders: -Drop their weapon -Stop to be tased -Get in the T-tester. Detective's may not kill someone for disobeying any other orders besides these. Tbh it sucks to see that this is a problem but adding this to the FAQ or something like “you must be able to see the player you are ordering” would help clarify that as it is common sense not to order people you cannot see. Another one that does not need to be added because of how it is used in another fashion it would seem to make sense here is that detectives cannot give orders based off of cosmetics and are required to use their name. Innocent Orders I've already seen admins warn players about giving Innocent orders, I think it should be added in the rules somewhere. IMO there should not be a rule against this as the other innos do not need to respond to this and if the players who are innos proceed to act upon their fake orders they shall be punished for rdm. @roux @Zayne 1 Edited October 3, 2019 by Trazz Link to comment

My main argument for this was the fact that this cloggs the comms with more things we don't need to hear. We already try and listen to KOS's, now we also have to listen to a detective order. If we can't hear the comms because of some Innocent asking another to freeze etc. it can get annoying and possibly lead to death. 1 Edited October 3, 2019 by TheZZL Link to comment

If I'm not blind, there's nothing in the rules about AFK's. It’s not under detective orders but there is one where is says something along the lines of “Can you kill AFKs at x time?” with an answer for no you cannot kill AFKs for no reason. This would apply under that because if they are AFK they have no way of responding. Two of three orders they are already following technically so to try and force someone who isn’t even there to a T tester (most maps don’t have one) shouldn’t be fine. My main argument for this was the fact that this cloggs the comms with more things we don't need to hear. We already try and listen to KOS's, now we also have to listen to a detective order. If we can't hear the comms because of some Innocent asking another to freeze etc. it can get annoying and possibly lead to death. I can understand that, but I still do not think it should be something as hard as an offense of mic spamming (not saying that is what you’re stating). At most it should be under admin discretion or only enforced when there’s a vast amount of people on the server. 1 Edited October 3, 2019 by Trazz Link to comment
