A Change In Plans

Hello to our beloved TTT members, regulars, and staff. Over the past few months there has been an obvious lack of discussion and flow of information of plans and upcoming changes from the TTT managers and it’s time for us to explain ourselves. A future thread will be made laying out a road map of tasks we are currently working on and the future for TTT.

 

Recently, many threads have been made suggesting ideas and changes that can potentially benefit the server and a lot of the responses from us were similar and would go along the lines of “these changes do not fit with our current plans for the future of TTT” and for good reason. To put it bluntly, we were incredibly close to achieving a new, improved, and all around an incredible plugin. By close, I mean literally a couple weeks away from making the finishing touches and releasing it to the main server. We had a lot of hope and excitement for this new plugin and believed it would finally break the current TTT meta and almost instantaneously answer many questions people had been asking about the server in recent weeks. Past and current managers who had worked on this project all agreed that such a large scale change should be kept under the cover for as long as possible to be a big and grandiose surprise. When we finally got word that the plugins completion was just around the corner we had multiple unexpected challenges and disagreements with the developer of the plugin. That being said and without getting into too much detail, we hit a roadblock between us and the developer. As a result of our differences that honestly are not at all that big of a deal the developer dipped on the project and left us with nothing. Just like that, months of hard work and discussion was thrown out in an instant.

 

We did as much as we could, said all we could to get the team and the developer back together but to no avail. For a short time we had been at a loss for words to describe and explain the situation and waited before deciding to make this informative post. All we can say is we are sorry for this upsetting outcome and letdown. We have and will continue going through previously closed threads to see what actual changes benefiting the server can be made. In the future we will continue being as transparent as possible and we will continue working hard for the benefit of TTT.

For transparency reasons I am announcing that work on the plugin for TTT has been resumed after conversations with the developer were held. No additional details on the contents of the plugin or the potential release date will be provided and will not be discussed by those who do know. We are putting all of our attention and energy on this project so we thank everyone for their patience.
