Unfair Teams

This has been talked about a lot but I think it's happening a lot more often in the past month for some reason. It's unreal how many times I've joined the scrim server to see it's 10-0 and the people want to forceend the game. I know it's hard to completely balance teams because players are inconsistent, but one of the main factors I see contributing to these games are the captains. In the past 25 scrim games I've played I was a captain about 75%. It's understandable that some people don't want captain all the time, I sure don't. However, people who KNOW the captains are unfair and know they are good players need to step up and offer to be a captain. Also people who actually know the people in the scrim game should offer to be captains as well. I'm also guilty of creating unfair teams sometimes and it just isn't really fun for either sides. If a captain accidently picks someone they don't want, at least try and compromise with who they want instead of stacking the teams. We've had a few people go on alts and try to go undercover, which does nothing else other than ruin the game and the balance in scrim. I'm not suggesting anything, just saying that people who are familiar with the players, recognize fair captains, and attempt to build fair teams should step up.

This is one of the biggest reasons why I personally don't play Scrims. Unless I'm with the majority of people that I know who are on my 'level' or below, I don't find Scrims fun and worth the time playing. I'm surprised people wouldn't want the competition. I understand playing with friends is what most people want to do, but where's the fun stomping the other team? Unless I can't think of any advanced idea, It's up to the community when playing Scrims to try and make it as balanced as possible. Thankfully, a lot of the members aren't at league level skill which makes most scrim games pretty balanced. The only time these scrim issues can occur is when the small highlyyyy skilled players are captain and choose the other highly skilled players first.

I agree with casual's points but i would also like to point out that alot of the older more experienced players have been busy with life and more recently the new regs on scrim just arent that good many of them are "jb shitters" if im being honest. I do think that sometimes the teams are stacked but they arent even stacked were it is a 5v1 many of the times it is just a 5v4 or a 5v3 many there just arent enough good players to make the teams fair with the people we currently have playing?

-Implement a whitelist where players must request access on the forums

-Implement any sort of RWS/KD/ELO tracking to give any arbitrary semblance of comparison

-Force-name every player to their forums username

-Have a harsher or more stringently enforced strike policy so people are less likely to throw or troll

I strongly agree alot of scrim games lately have been completely one sided

Majority of this will be in the new plugin but the strike policy I’ve been enforcing myself. There’s a forum where players and admins can make a request.
