I don't know if fixing the one problem caused this one or what happened but now i got a lot of lag and i really want to get rid of it. Please give me some suggestions so i can try them out and fix this problem i have. Thanks Link to comment

I had an issue where counterstrike would crash my router every 10 mins. I put my cl_cmdrate and cl_updaterate down to 50 (from 66) and this solved my problem. Incidently, Eldest, this is why my rates aren't 100, 100 Link to comment

It's sounds like you need to play around with the values, or something could be going on with your connection. I'm not sure how the rate command would affect ping based on the descriptions I read, but ya never know. http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=20070918102745AAulple Link to comment
