Does anyone else get buffer overflow in net message? I get it in a few of the SG servers and it sucks. Can anyone help me?

Here is an example,

Netchannel: failed reading message svc_VoiceData from 66.135.43.186:27016.

Netchannel: failed reading message svc_VoiceData from 66.135.43.186:27016.

Netchannel: failed reading message svc_VoiceData from 66.135.43.186:27016.

Disconnect: Buffer overflow in net message.

Host_EndGame: Buffer overflow in net message

That was the Prison Break Uprising server,..I used to be able to play on it but now I can't because of this.

Ok well that problem worked but now, i get a lot of ping and get lag spikes on servers i used to never get pasted 100 ping and barely ever lag. I don't know if fixing the one problem caused this one or what happened but now i got a lot of lag and i really want to get rid of it. Please give me some suggestions so i can try them out and fix this problem i have.

Thanks

try fiddling with your rates. I had an issue where counterstrike would crash my router every 10 mins. I put my cl_cmdrate and cl_updaterate down to 50 (from 66) and this solved my problem.

Incidently, Eldest, this is why my rates aren't 100, 100 :d

Here's a bit of information of what rates do in CSS. It's sounds like you need to play around with the values, or something could be going on with your connection. I'm not sure how the rate command would affect ping based on the descriptions I read, but ya never know.
