Handmade Coptic Stitch Sketchbook

in this thread, i'll show my sketchbook i made from hand and post all the drawings i make in it (and see if it isn't super flimsy)

if you prefer drawing on paper, i recommend trying to make one of these. it's not too hard to learn how to make these, it's just long and tedious work to get the whole thing done. it's done by using a large sketchbook with a cardboard back, and some tough waxed string or sinew. choosing your preferred paper and covers is optional too. there's dozens of youtube videos with easy tutorials showing different and more unique methods if you're up for it.

the only problem i have with it is how loose the sewing is. it's not a big problem, it's just that if i wanted to put a leather cover on it, i would need it to be sewn very tight. i also could've used thicker string so i have bigger hopes that it won't fall apart on me. anyway, here's the cover art i chose to put on.
