We have been at war for about 9 years, at this point in time when we hear someone is KIA in the news it isnt really shocking as much as people would be shocked by a celebrity doing something stupid.

 

Not to mention its a war to free other countries that 90% of Americans dont give a shit about, so you cant blame the media since all they are doing is giving the public what news means more shock and awe. Also they do report on KIA's in the wars we're in, they just dont make it a huge thing.
