1) Do nothing (Act like you didn't see it)

2) Throw the fat person in front of the train (duh)

3) I quit the survey seeing that huge list of answers I had to give.. sorry :/

Do nothing for both.

I'm assuming the person tying the people on the train tracks is a clever guy and putting some High-Value Individual to the solo track, thus making optimal to eliminate the less important individuals. Plus, I don't want to be respoinsible for any of their deaths and just walk along like I didn't see anything.

I also wouldn't push the fat guy, that's plain mean.

Hey everyone,

Thanks for taking the time and participating, the more results we gather the better we can distinguish between participants.

I know some of you found this problem rather simplistic, not at all probable, and lacking in information needed to truly make a decision.

That was my reaction when I was first presented with this dilemma. Also I thought to myself - why is social psychology ripping off Infamous?

Social psychologists and other theoretical scientists love coming up with these scenarios to prove a point, without considering the fact that real life decision have more variables, and often a third and fourth option. That's why I salute this Norwegian high school teacher for taking a different approach to teaching ethics:

Alas, as an undergraduate I can't present a more complicated scenario, but I do hope to change my professors opinions about gamers...

thanks again guys
