Hello.

 

So I havents played CSS for 2 years.. and new things came up. Can anyone help/teach me about ice skating, bhopping and other new materials?

ice skating is simple, if its a map where you have to surf down on to the ice, you have to make sure you get on the ice as smooth as possible, try not to jump on it or just fall down but rather go off the surf ramp at the bottom of it, when you get off the ramp, if you are gliding it means you are skating, if you are walking and are able to jump, that means you are not skating. if you arent skating just jump a few times and until you are able to glide. once your gliding, go around in circular motions, make every turn as smooth as possible by not doing it too fast(typing in cl_showpos 1) in console shows you your velocity, so you can do turns and see what kind of turns help you gain speed. on a map like all in 1 velocity, 1500 velocity is more than enough to go for the scout so all you have to do is get off the ramp very smoothly, if you dont just jump around a few times until you are able to skate, than skate and make turns that help you gain speed by looking at your current velocity from the cl_showpos 1, thats pretty much explains it all

bhop is a little more complex and there are a lot of videos for it so just look it up on youtube

Best bhop tutorial. It takes a lot of practice and patience but don't give up because it is a great skill.
