Caution Posted June 2, 2010 Content Count: 11501 Joined: 10/19/08 Status: Offline Share Posted June 2, 2010 So I woke up today with a weird lag problem. The short demo attached shows what I've been getting, as I have no idea what the problem could be. It's not my ping, cause I normally play with the ping I have, and I'm not downloading anything. My rates are fine btw. On my screen, I don't lag at all unless I switch weapons. I can't even play the game (you just lost) now. It's like this on all servers, and some are even worse than SG's. I would greatly appreciate any help / suggestions. Thanks. Link to comment

Delete your cache still not working, jeeezz siriously issues here... Nah then you'll need to delete all ur downloaded skins, and if this isnt working, Go back to the first Css setting after download ( if you forgot it, just reinstall.. it will be faster ) ** If you wont want this problems anymore ** Siriously defrag css every week, often he gaves an warning that you NEED TO defrag. 90% just press it away cause it takes like 5-10 minutes. Keep an eye open, that you dont download to much custom skins, css need to making data changes on every move you make, cause you arn't replacing the skins, your just overlaying them. And if you having issues on short but heavy lagg spikes, vink ( No, automatic update ) in the game section so steam wont update everything manually without premission. Good luck fighting the lagg spikes, I hope this will help Link to comment

Looks like I'm going to have to reinstall. I'll report back on if they're still there after I reinstall. P.S. skins are for fags Link to comment

Anything that concerned CSS that could of caused the lag? Theres a couple programs that I use to really reduce my CSS lag but they cost :\ P.S. Skins are not for fags. Link to comment

By this is mean, if you start up Cs:s your lagging in the main screen or just within the servers, and if its in the server is it All server? One server? Some Mod Server? Link to comment
Jager Posted June 3, 2010 Content Count: 1300 Joined: 06/24/07 Status: Offline Share Posted June 3, 2010 ok well lets start with what your netgraph_3 settings tell you while you are playing? do you see alot of choke? you getting in and out on a 100 tic server of 100?(try a non busy server the busier the worse the tic gets) check your rates cl_cmdrate 101 cl_updaterate 101 rate 30000 fps_max 200 (or less) then you might want to check and tell me what your cl_interp is set to as well. those numbers can get messed up fairly easily and they will murder your reg and gameplay.
