i avoid using the appropriate acronyms on here as 99% of the people who read this will have no idea what DSS, DCLT, JDSP, ect mean. drills are usually e-6 and up, me being an e-5 will be shadowing them for a while to see if its up my alley.

As for your actual post: If it is up your alley, get your rocker! Besides, from what I hear, everyone can make E-5 pretty easily; shit gets harder at E-6. Get to it!
