You're still missing my point. When you text, your eyes may be on the road, but your mind is elsewhere, therefore cutting down your reaction time if something were to happen when you were thinking.

i know, but i still haven't killed myself, besides i do it sometimes, it's not that i constantly do it

I can barely make a phone call (taking them is easy) with my iphone while driving, then again I drive a Jeep so it's a bit more intensive than an automatic car.
