Cisco Certified Internet Expert..

Basically you pay out the arse.. Very expensive tests (which you can take as many times as you are willing to pay for..) that include switches & routers etc. that you have to configure/fix, not just written exams.

And if you're very very very good you pass the tests. (The last I looked at them the tests had a less than 12% pass rate)

A friend of mine passed and now makes well over 6 figures.

A friend of mine has his A+ Certification, and ended up getting a job at a local networking place, ended up making I think $15 an hour plus benefits.

He also worked at Comcast for a little bit as a Tech. lol He said that 80% of all his calls are solved by "unplug the modem, plug it back in"

Yeah, but for me getting certified in networking is pointless, I don't want to go into this for a career, I just get pissed when old men at the repair shop are over my f****** head.

That and I'm a cheap basterd and I'd fix it myself when given the option :p.

Very cool, We just finished a small unit on routers and switches in CCNA. stuff can get pretty interesting when you understand it.

yeah im takin essentials and the 220-602, because there is no depots around here anywhere so that rules out 220-604 and I wouldnt wanna be a Help Desk Tech lol so noway to the 220-603.

but afterwards i was thinkin about doing either Network+ or do you guys think that would be a waste of time and i should do the CCNA?

and Itch i would never take any of the microsoft courses unless my job needed me to take them haha b/c then they'd pay for em ;D
