Deaf, you have sign language, and you can learn to read lips well.

 

Most things these days don't require you to hear to know what is going on, it's mostly all visual, so you can get along pretty well without being able to hear.

I didn't know deaf people could still hear.

No not like hear, you can feel the bass. When my mom was around, she used to work with deaf people and they played music with a lot of bass because they could like feel it or something. I don't really know, but that's their way of listening to music.
