I downloaded it, just so I make sure I can get 1 of 50000 copies... even though only 37 had been downloaded before me, *sigh* oh well, I have on and that's all that matters.

Haha, same. Except when I did, it was like 5. And right now it's still at 37. How sad. :(

Be sure to read the red text over the download link after you start downloading it.

It provides the beta key.

You need that for the free game to actually work.

The download isn't the main point to the *free game*.

It's the free beta key.

The download of the installer has always been free.

It's the beta key that usually costs money.

The red text above the download link that you need to pay attention to reads:

"The file you are downloading requires a beta key. It will display on this page within 1 minute of your download starting. Do NOT close this page until then."

Then changes to:

"The file you are downloading requires a beta key. Your beta key is @#@@@@#@@@@#@@#@"

This being said, you also need to go onto the game's site and create an account to make use of this beta key, otherwise, you've just download the installer client, and you did not actually take any advantage of the free giveaway.

*pay little attention to where it tells how many people have downloaded the file, it is inaccurate and is not updated in real time*

This is somewhat misleading. The TRUE retail package comes with 3 boosters (digital or otherwise). This does NOT come with any boosters. Therefore, claims made such as "Plus, as icing on the “awesome cake,” Saga is completely free to play.", are completely false.

Firstly, the game is not free to play. It's 19.95 for the retail pack, which lets you have guild access and at least gives you 3 booster packs. Without these booster packs, you will always be at a severe disadvantage in the game (and will remain to be in that position, unless you continue buying booster packs to have all of the best units).

This game also not coming with the 3 boosters that every retail box or digital distribution comes with, is also misleading in the above article. You are only getting a retail key, and the unlocked guild and other features of the main game. So it is NOT really giving out 20 dollar value to us for downloading this. I honestly find this game nothing but a scam, the controls are not very good at all, and if you really want to compete and play the game how it is meant to be played, you will be spending MUCH MORE than the average 15 dollar a month fee. BEWARE.
