So i found a mineCraft sever i liked and played on it the other day with no problems. But when i tried to connect to it today i said connection timed out when ever i tried to reconnect. ( by the way this is not SG's server ) any ideas why?

Quick thought: maybe it's a sign that you shouldn't be playing that server and instead play on SG's server. =]

The connection timed out thing is simply ; either the server own has put down the server for a period of time.

Possibly to make changes.

 

Or ; the server is gone.

To be honest i don't know. I was justing screwing around in my minecraft folder and i guess i did something and it worked.

I know the new release 1.6.4 is loaded with bugs and errors when playing on a vanilla SMP server

Tons of stuff like blocks reappearing after you break them, items breaking after a single use, graphical errors etc.
