Need Concealed Carry Suggestions?

I am in the process of shopping for a new concealed carry pistol.

I would like some input from those of you that carry.

A couple of requirements.

1 - I am left handed so whatever you recommend will need to have ambidextrous safety and clip release.

2 - Must be small and light.

3 - I want something that either has Crimson Trace, or comparable.

4 - I would like to stay at least with a 9MM or larger. I don't want smaller than 9mm when it comes to the caliber.

Serious suggestions only please. If you have hands on experience even better.

Thanks,

- Itch

Apologies for asking, but why would you need that?

I mean.. 90% of the world doesn't need to carry a gun around. And it makes people jumpy.

And I hope you don't live in a zone where every guy you meet is a rapist.

I have been carrying concealed for over 18 years now.

This thread isn't for debating the merits of concealed carry.

There are countless pro/con gun threads you can go browse if you want to discuss that.

Or I'd be willing to chat with you about it via PM or Teamspeak if you really want to know.

M&P Shield is everything you need. It's ambidextrous, comes in 9mm or .40 and there are crimson laser/lights for it. Plus its like 400-450 USD.

Looked at the shield today. The one in the store was not ambidextrous, but they said you could swap out the mag release to make it lefty, I did like the feel of it, but also liked the XDs I'm torn at this point.

Ah the slide stop is not ambi, I forgot about that. It comes down to personal preference imo. Shields come with or without frame safeties and the XDs have grip safeties that some people do not prefer. Both great guns or you can always be a glock fan boy and get the new glock 43 lmao.

Follow up for any of you that may be interested.

After shooting several guns at one of the local ranges...

I ended up buying a Springfield XDS .45 ACP

I also ordered a Crimson Trace laser and a StealthGear IWB Holster.

So far I'm loving the gun.

As some other users have noted, I guess I'm apart of the Glock fanboy club. I have both the Glock 42 (.380), and Glock 43 (9mm). I love both of them. Easy to conceal, and small enough to fit in your pocket if you prefer. There are numerous options out there, go feel them out and see which is most comfortable to you.
