I had this problem. It has to do with the steam friends chat client thing. You go to your steam settings and disable in-game messaging/friends chat thing, then you start up cs. Once it's working again you can enable in-game friends chat thing.

Last year of college, Legalsmash was there, we (our frat) threw a crazy fucking party. After crawling into a tent (which quickly became the sex tent that night) with two people going at it I woke up passed out with half my body in and the other half outside freezing my ass off, everyone had vanished except for 2 others. Turns out while I blacked out that guns were drawn and my best friend's jaw got broken after a few of them tried to take the guy down who apparently was on PCP, shovels to the head wouldn't take this guy down. I left a good face print of my grim reaper make up on the sliding glass door. THAT was a party.

No. It's easier to have flexibility and prompt response with players allowed to appeal. We'd be as fast as the DMV otherwise, having to make sure we checklist every single complaint every time with a sign in sheet. Granted I'll agree that in this case a decision was made TOO quickly. I fucking hate bloated governance and we're already passed that level here as is. We learn from our mistakes and move on, well most of us, others try to drag things out as long as possible. We fucked up and apologized, and will fuck up again in the future, but hopefully learn from our mistakes, this isn't some six-sigma corporation, nor will it ever be. Deal with it. These cryfests with suggestions of more bureaucracy every time there's drama are old. AOs/BDs aren't paid enough to fill out that much paper work. People wonder why we cycle through AOs so fast.
