I think the person that did it was kicked shortly thereafter. To be fair, someone in there DID have a weapon, though it doesn't excuse them shooting into a crowd. At least the person wasn't shooting all unarmed Ts. Overall, it wasn't as bad as some would have thought. The beginning was shitty because it kept crashing. There were about 2 or 3 major outbreaks from people due to free killing or shooting. For the most part, however, things seemed to have went quite well. We played a lot of games (shotgun war, scout/AWP war, blind CTs/Ts, drugged players, Simon Says, etc) and there weren't many complaints, if any at all. As far as free killing goes, I have to say it wasn't that excessive. I think there were quite a few new players and they didn't know what to do. I don't think it was excessive given the amount of players there. It was, however, pure insanity and I look forward to it again.

That was simply amazing. I couldn't stop laughing at the fact that we had 25 some-odd admins playing at once. Once the proper map loaded, it was great. We must do it again. Also, we need to mod more maps for that many people. I especially loved the part where 10 or so Ts spawned in the first cell and took out 12/15 of the CTs in the armory. Truly an incredible moment. Thank you to all that joined and made this event possible, it was very fun.

I'm sorry, but Starcraft 2 is nothing new. It has amazing production values, incredibly balanced and very fun. SC2 doesn't offer anything fresh to the RTS genre. Blizzard make fantastic games, don't get me wrong, but SC2 is not going to reinvent the RTS genre.

So, if I take a hallucinogenic drug alone I might harm the visions that I see? Just because people drive drunk does not mean people will drive under the influence of other drugs. Correlation does not mean causation. You can't prove that deaths will go up if drugs are legalized, because they aren't and there have been no records previous to them being illegal. More people die from the import, selling, and battling of drugs than do users of said drug. Take away the ability for people to harvest and sell the drug and you take away the reason for them to fight for control over the street. People that get caught driving drunk face high penalties. People under the influence of drugs would face similar penalties. We're a smart civilization, we can figure out how to cope with drugs being legal. Like I said before, if someone wants to get high, they will, regardless of law. These laws don't protect us, they hurt us by allowing the criminals to profit and gives them reason to continue killing each other and civilians because they want control. If the government regulated drugs then the cartels would wither away.

Thanks But that last bit about child defects from LSD are known fakes. Obviously, if you take it while you're pregnant then yes, something will go wrong, but taking on occasion will not have any adverse affects on chromosomes or cause birth defects. That's their choice. Why should something, or someone, that doesn't even know me, decide what I can and cannot do? People should live with their decisions and not have some floating head tell them that 'this' and 'that' are bad. If someone wants to do meth, they'll do it, regardless of laws. You can't stop anyone from doing what they want, all you can do is waste time and money 'punishing' them. It's complete bullshit.

That is 100% true, though we have had some gems with HL2, Portal, and L4D. Eventually, someone will reinvent the genre or create a new one. It's just a matter of time before something better comes along, though gaming will never truly die. People never run out of ideas.

Trends in technology do not suggest that in any way, shape, or form. Gaming is growing, not dying. Not only do people make money off of developing games, but people make money just by blogging about it. It's a huge industry. Saying gaming will die out is like saying porn will die out. Never going to happen. Today's gaming certain will die out as new forms take over, but gaming as a whole will be around until the end of time. Gaming is almost an instinct. Animals like to play around, even in the wild you see bear cubs playing with each other. It's natural to want entertainment.
