  1. It's called the Solstice, in case anyone cares. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Solstice
  2. Icemat = nails on a chalkboard. I don't know if they ever changed it or not but that teflon tape didn't do shit either. I use an X-Trac Ripper XL (17" mouse pad).
  3. The G1 does have an accelerometer. And yes, the G2 does not have a keyboard which will turn many people away. I'm glad the Palm Pre has a keyboard because it's such an amazing OS (decent phone) and it would have been ruined without a physical keyboard. The G1 has a lot of weird quirks that take some getting used to and I read that many of those are fixed with the G2. Read some reviews and articles and check out the phones in a T-Mobile store to see which you like better.
  4. You still don't understand how these worms and viruses work. You think someone needs to access your system or you need to execute something. There are these things called 'remote vulnerabilities' meaning you do NOT need local access to a machine. It may very well be that nothing will happen but you're living in ignorance, so good luck with that.
  5. Windows 7

I'm using it now at home and at work. It's great. Looks great and feels smoother than Vista. I like the new taskbar but I do miss the right-click context (move/restore/etc). All games run flawlessly and Windows 7 detected, downloaded, and installed drivers for every piece of hardware (including my GTX 280). Also found the RAID controller I use at work. I didn't have to download a single driver. I love it. It is by far the best Windows release. It's like going from Windows 3.1 to Windows 95, it's that good. There's a lot of performance enhancements and other tweaks but I don't want to get into all of that, there are plenty of articles that do.
  6. Please don't tell me he bought an AlienWare PC or VooDooPC. Those are such an amazing waste of money. I'd rather get a Dell
  7. Right, that's exactly what I'm talking about. It doesn't matter if you know what you download, there are vulnerabilities in Windows that can be exploited without the need to run an executable. Thank you for proving my point.
  8. Game Crash

Check out http://www.Guru3d.com, they have a great forum and downloads section for video drivers. Next time a game crashes, can you write down the error or take a screen shot of it? I'd need to see the 'Technical Details' on the error window to get an idea of what could be causing it. If not, look in the Event Viewer (Control Panel -> Administrative Tools -> Event Viewer) and under Applications, look for errors corresponding to the game in question. Double click on it and paste the contents here. Could be anything, really, but without any error information it's nigh impossible to determine what the cause is.
  9. I have a Logitech MX518 mouse and Saitek Eclipse keyboard. I am a wireless mouse fanatic and have used just about every wireless mouse on the market but found this wired mouse supreme. It's spot-on and amazingly comfortable and light. I do miss my MX1000 and G7 wireless mice, but this is so much better. Logitech's new Revolution mouse looks retarded as does Microsoft's gaming mouse with the weights in it. Razer make great mice but it cannot compete with the MX518, it's night and day.
  10. Keyboard

I use a Saitek Eclipse. It has a backlight and clear letters (keys are silverish). It lights up around the keys and the actual letters/numbers/symbols. It's quite useful in dark rooms and is quite comfortable to type on. I had a Logitech G15 keyboard, but never used the LCD screen, it was completely useless. I never looked down there and it could only display limited information and information that I really didn't care about or had on my desktop (Winamp, system monitoring, etc). Personally, I think the ZBoard is a fad and utterly useless. A friend had one and I hated it. It's a pain to type on and it doesn't feel right. The keyboard layouts that you can buy are a gimmick and nothing more. I never used the Razer keyboard, though they do make quality products. In the end, though, I'd go to Best Buy/Walmart/Target/Staples/etc and look at their keyboards in person and then decide. They might not have the Razer or ZBoard, but they will have a nice variety. Stay away from the gimmicks, you'll never use them.
  11. You say there's "absolutely NO reason" to use a firewall. That cannot be further from the truth. Routers and Windows Firewall only block incoming connections, not outgoing. Those are completely useless against trojans and other viruses that infiltrate the system by other means. A real firewall will allow you to monitor incoming AND outgoing connections. For the sake of everyone, please don't spread non-knowledge. Just because you don't use a firewall does not mean they are useless. It's thoughts like this that are the reason why there are so many infected computers. It's the whole 'It can't happen to me' mentality and all it does is make things worse when one's computer eventually gets infected.
  12. Computering in the nude is awesome. Don't knock it 'til you try it.
  13. I woke up with a sore butt today :confused1:
  14. And if he is successful then she'll come into the room and go down on him.
  15. If you don't understand the point of this thread, then you were never meant to understand the point of this thread. The point of this thread is not something that can be said, it is groked. It cannot be explained. Either you get it or you don't. If you don't get it then you won't get it and you never will get it and you will have to hope that groking will come along. GOOD DAY SIR.
  16. Learning another language is a skill every person should master. It takes a lot of patience and determination to learn a language that is not your own. I regret not paying attention in Spanish class (they didn't offer any other language back then). I also regret not taking any foreign language classes in college, even though I really wanted to. Nihon go ga wakarimasen :ohwell: Good luck on your test. Your mother is only giving you shit because she cares about your future, be happy for that. In 10 years, probably less, you'll look back at all of the hell she put you through when you were in school and you'll thank her for it. It will make you a better person and qualify you for better jobs. Parents don't interest themselves in their child's education enough these days. They just drop them off at school and let the teachers handle everything. It doesn't work that way and it never will. I fear for our future generations at the rate our education system is going.

  18. Yours would too if you were that desperate to show some camel toe.
  19. George Bush and Barack Obama are sitting at a bar talking politics when Donald Rumsfeld walks in. Bush says, "When I become the next Hitler I'm going to kill all the Jews and one clown." Rumsfeld replies, "Why the clown?" Bush, looking at Obama, says, "See, I told you no one cared about the Jews."
  20. I told Haggard to take $10 of my donation and give it to Ganzta for his admin privileges. I wonder if he thought I was kidding . I like what this place offers and feel it's worthwhile to contribute to.
  21. I'm still miffed that those other guys donated after me. I wanted to be on top Maybe next month. PS: Yes, I'm that vain.
  22. engaged ahh

I proposed to my fiance on Christmas as her last gift.
  23. TCP

That is a picture of TCP were he a duck.
  24. Firefox 3.5 beta 4 is amazingly fast compared to 3.0.x. Obviously, extensions make Firefox the browser of choice (long live Ad-block Plus).
