If the system is for yourself then of course building your own is the best... If it's for someone you know.. and there is even a remote chance of them needing hardware support down the road.. Have them buy retail with a good warranty.. it will save you headaches.. and hours of support.

Surf is pretty fun.. but I rarely see surf servers that have more than 8 players in them.. Guess my question is .. how many of us would play there? and will it draw in new players?

Graphics look good.. wonder what gameplay will be like.. Definitely worth looking into.

What happened to this thread.. it started out good.. now it's become scroll hell. It's hard to touch oneself when there's this much scrolling to do...

Could be referring to an exercise program for your wife/girlfriend. Then again.. most likely not.

I'm a GunGame addict.. I searched around alot for a decent GunGame server with enough admins and regulars around to make it worth sticking with. Found ZM through the GunGame server met Slavic, Edo, and alot of the other regulars there and decided to checkout the forums & other servers.. I still play mostly GG but will also play on Napalm, US Escape and the TF2 server.

Strictly from the financial viewpoint as well.. People need computers.. for Work, school, etc. Gaming on them is just a bonus.. People don't need consoles.. I've gone years at a stretch without so much as touching one.. that's not to say that I don't own one now.. but given that alot of people can't afford both most of them would opt for a PC and game on it.. rather than purchase a console and try to use it for other computing activities.

Yes the console is easier to prevent software piracy.. but look at systems like Steam.. yes you can still pirate.. but online registration prior to playing makes it alot harder.. Also Console developers if they want to sell huge amounts of a specific title have to develope for more than one of the major consoles and are still dealing with multiple sets of hardware.. not nearly as many configurations.. true.. but still deal with more than one platform.
