8500 GT

 

plays what i do on high for most of them, and high medium for newer and intenstive stuff, im not mad. One day, when the price of video heroin goes down and I have regular work, I want dual 8800 GTX and a 700-800 watt psu.

im looking to upgrade my graphics card but i cant tell what type of PCI slot i have on my motherboard?

i bought a factory built hp pavillion a6400z

 

can anyone help?

You gots an x16 pci-e slot, so you'll be good with most new pci-e cards. You've only got a 300 watt power supply though, so I wouldn't got for anything too powerfull

Well I'm running about a half-a-year now with my Ati HD 3850 256MB card which I've come overclock as well.. Love it, works fine and I still have a LOT of juice I can pour out of it ^^

Planning to get HD 4870 512MB or 1GB card next :wink:

Yea the HD4870 is at the moment one of best Single graphic cards on market ^^

The current one I have is damn cheap nowdays and worth to ge if you need a decent graphics card in minimal budget.. =)

 

HD4870 is about 120% more powerful than my current card but you can see that in price-tag as well ^^
