i need help ive made a dedicated server and i can join it but nobody i give the ip to can ive treid and tried but he still cant join so how come and how can i fix it

It's probably due to you having a router for your system.

If you DO have a router, you have to forward your ports for the server to be able to let other people join. Go to this site, find the specific name of your router (you may have to look around for this on your router or ask someone), and find the game Counter-Strike, and then there will be instructions on how to do this.

 

Also, you must set the cvar sv_lan in your server to 0, so it isn't just set up to your local connection.

thnx but ive already done both of those things i also went to my firewall and let it thru and it still wont work now my server works but no one can join

Positive it isn't a C connection you may have it as lan or the IP is wrong.

how do i get the correct ip

You need to forward the port as well as use the correct IP for your system (not the IP you get given locally by your router). http://www.whatsmyip.org
