Forum Ideas?

Looking to spice up the forum a bit and make it more attractive for people so looking for ideas on what to add. We already have a casino and arcade, if you have any other ideas, ask and i'll do polls on them to gauge reaction.

An intro thing like on Atixs site except with less flashes we wouldnt like to cause any accident now would we. New ranks maybe? Like ummm ZM conscript for new members. I'll post again if i think of anymore.

 

Edit: Maybe a new colour scheme for ZM. blue and whites okay...but its nothing special or maybe you could choose your own colour scheme from like original to red, orange etc.

I would say no on a new color scheme... I really like the blue and gray... it is clean and easy to read. You could make a non-forum section that has like videos or something.

 

Definitely something for new users too. Right now I think it is a little confusing, maybe like a page for new users that is more in-depth... talks about the different servers and tells them everything...

I would really love a BoHeGeHa Skin. It is so much easier on my eyes and its very clean imo.

We are working on a frontpage so to speak for SG/ZM atm, well atarian is, dont think its gonna be done for a month or so. I know haggard wanted one like atix but I cant see it being done since I know of no one reliable who can do them.

THis is something that annoys me, you look at other forums, you see alot of sigs but no one seems to be interested in it here, infact most of the community has no interest in doing anything fun and productive concerning the forums.

 

As for a new forum skin, I've tried making a few and everytime i do and ask nuggs for opinions all he does is complain about it and gave no helpful input and well I got to the point where i told him to fuck off and stopped doing them.

 

I could get a few from vbulletin.org but tbh I wanted a custom one that suited zm.

See this annoys me, your alot like nuggs, you assume or believe a forum can only have 1 style, if a new style was brought in, this shitty blue default one would still be there to select.

Perhaps we need something everything could contribute to that would get everyone involved i don't know what but something. That way the gap between old admins and new members might be pulled close so to speak.

I'm not trying to advertise but I own my own website and my forum has been modded quite a bit. Albeit I use phpBB and not VB I'm pretty sure each one has similar mods.

If you notice under each username there is a list of items they can collect and underneath their signatures are medals that the users can earn. They have really helped keep forum activity and interest in the site up.
