I wasnt born deaf, i have a disease called Autoimmune Inner Ear Disease, it causes my immune system to attack my inner ear tissue. I was born with perfect hearing, but over time it deteriorated until i became completely deaf say... 4 or 5 years ago.

Consider yourself lucky that you never have to hear Solja Boy or any of those auto-tune fucks. Don't lose hope, though, medicine is always advancing and you could find yourself hearing again sometime in your lifetime.

 

What do you miss most about not being able to hear?

Actually, the solution should be available in the States sometime next year, hopefully. There are already places around the world that have Adult Stem cell surgeries for Autoimmune diseases. What they would do is they extract Adult Stem cells from inside my Bone Marrow, then they insert it into my inner ear tissue and the Adult Stem cells rapidly repair it, presto, i have perfect hearing again for 10 years or so, then i'd need to get the surgery again.

 

What i miss most is obviously no longer being able to hear people and having an easy conversation with others, or being able to listen to music. Going to the movies suck now cause i cant hear anything and miss out on the whole plot to movies.
