So, Sprint is your only option with this phone. This means going to the Sprint Store is a way to get the phone, but there are extra options such as going to Best Buy, or Radio Shack, where you will have the option to pre-order the phone as either an upgrade or as a new contract. This leads us to the cost. Cost: The Evo 4G is selling for the low price(for a phone of this amazing caliber at least) of $199 for people either starting a new contract, or people eligible for an upgrade. For the straight phone off contract, it will be $450. The best part though, is that you won't have to pay the outrageously high prices that AT&T and Verizon charge, you will be able to get the low cost of $69.99 a month, with a $10 addition for 4G use. the $79.99 is still cheaper than both AT&T and Verizon. If you want to make use of the mobile hotspot feature, which allows you to connect up to 8 devices up to your phone and use the fast 4G speeds as if it were DSL, it will cost you $29.99 a month, but that is completely optional. For those in 4G markets, the extra $10 a month for 4G is mandatory, but for those not in 4G markets, buying it is optional. They have great customer service and prices, and their 3G is pretty good. Link to comment

Dude, verizon already got a phone a bit similar to this one, the droid incredible. This will never come to verizon, they are a while away from 4G phones, and won't be using wimax(they will be using LTE). Link to comment

Psyche Posted May 16, 2010 Content Count: 3343 Joined: 06/03/08 Status: Offline Share Posted May 16, 2010 My company is switching from Verizon to AT&T apparently, the company plan for ATT is way better then Verizon. So I will just have to get an iPhone 3GS and wait for the 4G. Link to comment
Alpha2 Posted May 16, 2010 Content Count: 230 Joined: 06/06/09 Status: Offline Share Posted May 16, 2010 I'm planning to buy the EVO full price when it comes out. My Treo Pro will pale in comparison. The extra $10 sucks though. :-( But 4G! The only network in the country that has it! YAY SPRINT! Plus we roam to Verizon to fill in the gaps...something the VZW tards don't even realize. 1 Link to comment
Red Posted May 17, 2010 Content Count: 6559 Joined: 03/14/07 Status: Offline Share Posted May 17, 2010 I just pre-ordered the EVO today during lunch at Best Buy. 199 with instant rebate, did the same thing with the Palm Pre. Too bad Sprint sucks. ^_^ What the fuck are you talking about? My coverage is just as good as my friends with Verizon/ATT, shit, even better sometimes, the vocie quality beats the shit out of GSM and the data speeds kicks their ass too. Now with 4g coming they can forget it. The pricing is also cheaper than any of the other guys when it comes to unlimited plans and their customer service has greatly improved in the last couple years, believe me, I've dealt (used them to my advantage) with them a lot. The "Sprint" sucks mantra from 2007 is f'ing outdated and is just as bad as Apple fan boys ripping on all things non-apple. I hear more complaints from iphone users about ATT than I do from anyone else about any other carrier. 1 Link to comment
