What can I get in way of a gaming PC (pre-built by a third party, not gonna be able to make it myself [it's not my money]) for $1,500? That includes peripherals, but I don't need speakers, I already have a headset. Can anyone recommend a build/company?

Does that include a new monitor? That can take a large portion of your budget depending on what you're looking for.

I haven't dealt with pre-built computers much, so I can't say much in the way of what models are amazing and what companies you can trust. But with $1,500 you can get a very good gaming PC.

I won't recommend a brand but newegg is the best place to browse for what you want. Do you have a solid understanding of GPU performance and do you know what level of games you want to play?

Yeah that includes a monitor unfortunately.

I'll check out Newegg, but from what I've seen with them they do mostly components, no? And yeah I'm looking for something that can run pretty high games (Not Crysis on max, but BFBC2 on decent settings if possible). I'm just not sure how far I can stretch the money. :ohwell:

If I were you, looking for prebuilt that is, I would look at places like iBuyPower and xoticpc possibly?

Idk, after having custom computers for so long, I can't say I would ever go back...

Another good gaming PC. Should be everything you want. (Even comes with blu-ray drive)

But I have to advise you against buying monitors from Newegg. They have a shit return policy on dead pixels. Almost all online retailers do. I suggest going to a brick-and-mortar store to get your monitor. (I got my Acer 24" at CompUSA, couldn't be happier.)

Which is more powerful (Cyberpower vs HP)? The price difference is pretty negligible.

I have found Cyberpower to offer more for the same price as HP in the past while I was looking for a laptop. I would think they would be same same way with their desktops.

Or you could just get this... xD
