Anyone Got Any Bands Going?

I made this thread to see who of the SG Community has band going.

 

As most of you are unaware of I am a bassist, trying to get a band going with some friends(I know lame right? Lol).We are in the middle of finishing our songs, and working on getting recording equipment.

 

So, post info of your band and what genre your band is planning on being.(Btw we have no idea what genre we are going to be, I am guessing most likely thrash[That's just from what our lyrics are]). Post what instrument you play for your band, etc.

 

My Position: Bass (back up vocals)

Band Name: XIII

Band Genre: Unkown (I am guessing thrash)

# of Members: 5

Status of Band: Finishing Songs (acquiring recording equipment)

There are a lot of bands at my school and oppurtunities to join em (School/garage) but Im not the best at guitar and know I cant sing worth jack. So until I can get my guitar playing down Im not up for a band :/.

 

Thats cool that your bands about to record, you should post em up here I love thrash.

Yeah I can't wait till we get all of our shit done. When we get everything done and recorded. I'll definitely post when ever we get done, but I'm not sure how soon that will be since most of the time is just me and the rhythm guitarist(lead vocals), working on the stuff.

 

As for the thrash, I'm unsure exactly what our genre will be since we all like various genres of metal, but I'm sure we'll have a couple thrashy songs.

Me and some of my friends just started a band not to long ago. I used to be in a band, but then I quit due to issues with the members, and it was disorganized and what not, plus i was into more heavier music. Now I'm in a metal band. I play drums x) Just got my 8th cymbal not to long ago (not like anyone cares just sayin).

 

We're writing soem songs right now, though we just like playing covers more right now, writing songs is more of a side project i guess, we're trying to get a rythm guitarist right now, cuz we're gunna need a 2nd guitar for sure!
