Ideas for a DNA model?

So I have to make a DNA model for my Bio class, and it has to be fairly creative.

I thought about using legos but they ended up costing a lot to order online.

I made a DNA model out of Knex.. It came out great and I got an A+ on it.. (For my 10th grade Bio class).

I also got a piece of styrofoam and stuck the model in it with rubber cement so it would stand up. I also provided a key using the different pieces I used

I had to make a DNA model a few years back, I think I used lead wire as the shape and colored foam peanuts as the molecules. It was surprisingly sturdy.

you could pussy out and just use Styrofoam and wires, if you have a teacher that is an environmentalist, you can always make the model out of plastic bottles and wire, you could make a DNA model while also making a statement about plastic bottles and how they harm the environment.

Also, a no go on the candy because it cant be made out of food.
