Update: Been playing (with a few friends 3 vs 3) for 3 hours, the game is actually surprisingly good! The timing of the jumps is quite tricky and a microphone connection proved quite useful. The collectibles like cars, stickers, antennas, etc are funny but not that big of an aspect.

Would actually recommend for people who have a team, not for those who play solo

Free on Playstation Plus Games July 2015.. Not worth the buy imo

Well, despite the fact that it's free on Playstation Plus... compared to most games nowadays Rocket League is only a $20, no micro-transactions, customization of your vehicle is done through PLAYING. Well worth the money if you don't own a PS4, IMO.

It is, but they will implement more stuff over time. It's a Beta version (says so on Playstation) and the game is really quite simplistic, but that's what makes it fun.

The moments where you're driving around looking for a 100% boost are the worst too.

Using a controller is a huge plus! Communication with your team members is very useful too.

I played a cracked version on PC to test the differences and the game runs smoother on PC, but playing with a keyboard (personal opinion) makes it annoying when you need to control the camera view instead of the autofocus on the ball itself, not that easy when you're used to the Right stick on the Playstation controller.

Overall a good game, wouldn't buy it for 20 dollar/euro, but that depends on how much you like this genre.

Oh and 4 vs 4 can be quite chaotic, so start with 2v2 and start learning the timings of the jump, defending without goalie and scoring goals. If you're going 3v3, try to decide if you're attacker or goalie. If you're going 4v4, you can stay in the middle to shoot in goals or just keep defending but don't expect to have a clear shot that easily. You'll have to decide what's the best gamemode :)

3v3 and 2v2 is easy imo, 1v1 is useless and 4v4 is too chaotic for me

Good luck!
