My wife got me a Bob Ross kit for Christmas. Here's my 2nd painting.

may as well just get an afro hat and be bob ross.

 

I wish. I remember watching him growing up. It was so relaxing and he makes it look so easy that anyone can do it. Trust me when I say I have no experience. It's an expensive initial investment but canvas is pretty cheap and you don't need to buy new brushes. I got my aluminum easel for 50% off at Michaels and it's pretty decent.

 

If you have any interest at all, I recommend picking up his master kit and giving it a go. He does have tabletop easels that you can drop some small weights on to keep sturdy.

I've never painted before so this was fun and different. I know it's not perfect and I have a few things to fix but I'm happy with it.

I can't draw, nothing is traced/lined out. It's all from watching his videos and practice. It's not even that good in my eyes, the plants/trees are terrible, at least up close. I have a long way to go before I'll be happy, but the mountains were fun and they came out great.
