Avalanche problem

I'm not sure if it's just me, but I think I remember people saying they have the same problem, which is on avalanche when playing the map progressively gets dimmer as if my gamma is being turned down. It doesn't get too dark that I can't see anything, but it gets dark enough where its hard for me to see other players some times. It resets whenever I either die or swap players while spectating but then starts doing the same thing to me. This makes avalanche really unenjoyable for me since its so hard to see.
