People with tons of symbols in their names are dum. I hate that. I could understand if they are using a different language, but just using different charsets that look similar to roman letters to look pro?

I agree with Jazzy and Havok. Removing Cometchat and possibly the chatbox would be a good thing. The in that spot, it can be a link to a web-IRC client or even embed it. Reasons why IRC is better: 1) Easier to moderate. 2) Almost never goes offline (most networks have tons of servers running to handle it). 3) Runs quick - Easy to setup. 4) Will require no load on the forums server (in fact, it would probably REMOVE a lot of load that is currently being used by Cometchat/CBox). 5) More "open" - you can communicate to it via anywhere that has an IRC client. You can also read through old messages that don't expire every 24 hours like cchatbox does. Reasons why IRC would be frowned upon: 1) Some people consider it a bit harder. It does have a bit steeper learning curve than cchatbox, but once you get used to it (a few minutes), it's a piece of cake. 2) Can't think of anything else. A bit offtopic I guess, but it would be a wonderful change in my opinion.

This should only apply to the forums, and not the servers. The servers technically not collecting any info that would violate COPPA, but the forums are. Eh. It applies to the servers..since it's located in US. Why on Earth will anyone need to tell his/her age while playing a game? RE: Right. I meant, will it be like "oh, someone has a squeaky voice", then they get harassed with questions "how old are you", etc., thus incriminating themselves. Eh.

Ban appeals are going to be private now? It's nice with them being public. It's a private matter....and under no circumstances will we allow comments on 'moderation' on the forum. If you have an issue, you have the option of reporting it to the top tier members, including me..... RE: It isn't a moderation question, I am just curious how it would be handled. It should be a public manner, really... a user gets banned from the public server, the public should get to read what they say about it.

What is with the new dates on the forums? ("11 minutes ago", instead of "7:45 PM", etc), and can it be reverted? Some new setting or what? Only real question I have. European Date System might work...
