DVD Drive Not Detected

It doesn't show in bios

It doesn't show in device manager

It doesn't show under My Computer

I edited Reg and Deleted upper/lower filter

It's getting power

Did you try restarting. Like a full shut down. Mine did that too. But i just had to restart it.

Is this DVD drive removeable?

 

If it is, then pull it out and then re-insert it.Also, be sure to check your BIOS options and set "Auto" on any options related to "Detection of Drives"

 

If none of the above works, you may get better luck updating your BIOS, so you could see if an update is avaialble for your model.

Surprisingly I did that to my comp a few times, and it works!

 

Especially them annoying buzzing nosies sometimes and then I CBA to find what is loose xD

ya when i just uninstalled and reinstalled the drivers.. it seems like windows only detects it when it wants? i dunno wtf. its not a removable drive either. If it continues i might take it to geek squad since my warranty is still good at best buy.
