MPQC Posted May 8, 2010 Content Count: 2167 Joined: 03/24/08 Status: Offline Share Posted May 8, 2010 Well, whenever I have multiple applications up, it seems to cut off sound to certain ones. It's like the headset has different priorities. For example, if I have Ventrilo open, youtube, and Counter Strike Source open. Ventrilo + Youtube will have sound, but Counter Strike wont. If I want to have sound in different applications, I have to close them down, and reopen them in the order I want sound. (So if I wanted sound on Counter Strike & Vent, I'd open those two first.) So I'm on Windows Vista, 32 bit. I have updated my sound cards driver, though the headset I'm using (G35), doesn't actually use my sound cards drivers, but I updated anyways. I tried updating the software that came with the G35 (which controls the settings of it), and that did nothing either. Any suggestions? *Quick edit: If I unplug the headset, swap all my settings back to default (so it uses my laptops speakers), this does not happen. It's only using the headset. (And I'm thinking it's because of it's USB..?) Link to comment

For example, on skype or vent, if someone uses their mic to mic - nothing will be heard. It's no sound - not lowered. Link to comment

What I do is click the sound icon in bottom right, then there should be a button that says mixer, click it, and it should list all the windows and there sound, and just move the window you want sound on up Link to comment
