Hello everyone,

I need a new microphone/headset due to the fact that the one I have sucks dick. I would like to find one that is cheap but, still has nice mic quality, sound quality, and durability so it can withstand my nerd rages/rage quits/and all around rage.

I'm looking for one within the $30 - $70 category. I can go up to $100 if it is worth it completely

search box on the forums...

I RARELY and Id like to emphasize RARELY tell someone that cause its really lame but...we ve answered this question so many times...

Basically dont get anything labeled as gaming if you want quality...

surround sound in a headset is ridiculous and not worth crap compared to decent headphones..

get a decent desk mic ok line mic like zalman makes...

Sony has nice headsets and very comfy at decent price but the wire is short..

Sennheiser makes a good product. I have the HD555 and Im very pleased with it...

No they suck ass, why would you tell me to get them? The mic is broken, and crackles every few seconds

At least that is what happened to me :p

I eventually ended up getting some HD555's and a stick mic, better quality, and better sound.

I'm using Turtle Beach surround sound (lol) headphones. (Here.)

I got them for $50 or so when they were on sale. Surround sound isn't the best quality (obviously) but not crap. I'm certainly not disappointed. I really love the mic though.

I haven't explored much in the way of headsets though, just find one that gets good reviews and has the features you want.

Turtle beaches were made for console but theyre not horrid on pc.

Ill post both stereo and usb since you didn't say which you wanted.

Just look through this website, cheap and fairly good quailty headsets + user reviews

I HIGHLY recomend you to buy a steelseries v2

One of the best gaming headsets around.

If i had the money i would buy one right now

Stero one is 90 and usb one is around 110

Some 10 dollar mic, i've had it for years now.

I bought the HD555's, which may be a little out of OPs price range, I will try to find something good for OP

Lol, Steelseries are used by professional gamers across the globe and at lans by millions of players. If your looking towards using the headset for gaming purposes get the siberia v2 where as for just general use go with what trakaill suggested.
