1. The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time

Just plain awesome.

2. Super Mario 64

One of the first 3D platformers, and still one of the best (if not THE best).

3. Battlefield 1942

Pretty groundbreaking first person shooter... large maps that hold up to 64 players in a server with a large assortment of World War II weapons and vehicles, still played by about 3000 people today.

4. Half-Life

For the mods.

5. Super Smash Bros or Halo 1

Good multiplayer.

Wow this is a nice thread. To tell you the truth, I have no clue how to rank my top 5 games, seeing as I got gobs of top-notch games lying around.

It goes something like this:

 

#1 UT2004

#2 Quake ]|[ Team Arena

#3 Max Payne 1/2

#4 CS:S & H-L2

#5 Jedi Knight: Jedi Academy

 

I'll extend this to top 10:

 

#6 Age of Empires 2: The Conquerors

#7 GTA: SA

#8 CnC Tib Sun Firestorm/Red Alert 2 Yuri's Revenge

#9 Prey

#10 RTCW/Enemy Territory

 

Well, this is too darn tough. I guess, these top 10 games are all interchangeable. Other really great games I own include: GTA: 3, GTA: VC, Mech Commander 2, The Chronicles of Riddick: Escape from Butcher Bay D's Cut, Unreal Tournament GotY, AvP 2 + expansion, BloodRayne, Far Cry, Halo, SoF 1/2, AoE 1 + expansion, Half-Life, Half-Life Opposing Force, TFC (would be #1 if I was playing it right now).
