  1. no story, just fact. the term is "leeching" 1)if they do know his password why the fuck would they restart the router 2) why dont they just change the password? 3) "torrenting" would just eat up the bandwidth resulting in SLOW internet not NO internet. 4) if your always d/c ing off his network its more than likely that your too far away form the router and walls in the way of the signal prove me wrong by getting a CAT5 cable and plug it in directly to your "friends" router and see if you get d/c'ed then?
  2. you fail omar
  3. that wouldnt account for the fact the HE keeps getting d/c, all that would happen if his niebors did know his password+using his internets. would be that his connection would slow, not stop all together
  4. ok, this sonds like an identical problem that i just recently had with my router, but mine happend at around 12am (midnight) to 3am, what i tried to do is update my firmware to the most recent (found on the manufactures web site). but unfortunatly i fucked it up big time and rendered by router useless, so i went out and got my self a nice new shiny one, and it works. i think it will be just the firmware out of date on your router
  5. stop trying to fix a fixed post when it was fixed anyway........ i think i will just say this insted. paul is stupid, doesnt know what card he had
  6. Mobo

you could wait a couple of weeks/ a month then a new cpu/chipset is being released by intel, Core i5, you could wait and see how well it is reviewed, for one it will be cheaper and i think i read somewhere it may even support some of the new socket i7 as well in the future
  7. the only problem you have wine such programs as "wine" is that it is an emulator. so basically you will be running 2 x OS's at once then on top of that you will have the demands of a gmes and all of windows background processors on top of the linux based OS you plan to run, you will need a shit load of processing power+ram+gfx for the game to run as smoth as you want it to. i would say any linux based OS is good, but absolutly shite for gaming, if you want to stick to gaming, go xp or Windows 7
  8. fixed
  9. cold so cold, without you too hold, this christmas
  10. Mobo

the Version II is better and maybe within your budget if you shop around
  11. the majority of AM3 motherboards support AM2 / AM2+ and AM3 processors
  12. i tidied up a wee bit
  13. if he is a propper friend you will not buy him the cheapest shit ever, as you probably already know the cheap shit breaks down after 6 months..... dude learn your facts im too drunk to give a shit. and stop giving your self double standards. i would give you some credit if you know anything about computer hardware but you dont
  14. in his budget+in £ so it will be cheaper in $ as electronics are cheaper there http://3xs.scan.co.uk/ShowSystem.asp?SystemID=877 even barebones http://www.cclonline.com/product-info.asp?product_id=33518&category_id=491&manufacturer_id=0&tid= sorry dont know any US sites but for example in the first case it is within his budget with the current exchange rate, and the second case all he needs to do is buy a gfx card ~ £250 then he still is with his budget, so therefore 1) yes he is paying more for the built 2) he still know exactly what is in comp so stfu EDIT: budget is $1300/1400
  15. wtf man. one side or the other
  16. Wrong & Wrong, pre-builts dont always come with "the cheap shit" its the "cost of building it", and as for the graphics card shite, yeah maybe its a stock speed, but does it fuck hinder the performance, it will hinder the performance if the graphics card is shit. but i do agree, build it your self for 2 reasons, 1) its cheaper, 2) you know what is inside of your computer, there are millions of guides out the on the internet that can guide you through building your first computer, i admit that braking your vaginity of building will be long and painfull, but at the end you will have enjoyed building your computer
  17. i was pointing out that he can get alot more for his money if he decides to build it himself and some have still got issues and some dont, depends on the manufacture
  18. wrong, well sort of, the first couple of hundred off the production line were fucked to be honest, but they recalled them all and fixed the errors. i7 at the moment (except the 920) is just not worth the money, the Q9*** are still fucking quick and ludicracy overclockable+ uses cheaper DDR2 ram which is still fast, even though some motherboards use the 775 socket and DDR3, them motherboards do not use the full speed of the DDR3, if you want i high end build but dont want to spent a shit load on it, go for a high spec 775 socket CPU, good motherboard and 1600Mhz ram+ what ever gfx card you decide to go for insted of the i7. you will be garenteed to save at least $400 on the build and it will be just as fast.
  19. no dont get it. save an extra 300/400 and get thid, you get a 295GTX, solid state drive and 6Gb of low latency+ high speed ram
  20. save your money then, in a couple of months new gfx cards + mobo's + processors come out then all the prices will drop, then you will be able to get an i7 + mobo + ram very cheap
  21. How long?

ive been here to long Goodbye:wave:
  22. depends on your budget, if you have a tight budget, there are some really cheap+good AMD boards and processors, but if you have a budget of more than £450 ($750) go Intel
  23. depends on your budget
  24. nice computer, but for that price you really should be able to afford a solid state hdd for that extra quickness
