here do you have a PCI x16 2.0 slot on that comp? if not dont buy it...be a waste of money for sumthin not compatible with it...unless you upgrade the mobo also..

lol tbh id go with nvidia instead of ATI...ive had bad luck with them over the years...but i have heard that the 4870 is good so...just do what Andre Says...

i know most of the stuff and yes i know i dont take antything seriously...i know about the glossy non glossy and those things...im looking into a Core 2 Quad or Core 2 Duo with about 4 GB of RAM and the GPU i could care less its not for gaming...i know about wireless and networking since that a field im studying and know alot about...Hint on my Wireless N Gaming Router =D...Mac is a cheap peice of shit in my opinion...ive used them and i cant stand them...no offence to anyone who likes Mac...i cant stand dell either but iono...Alienware is shit now since dell now owns them...but then again alienware is used for gaming not school...HP and compaq are built tough i know since ive dropped a HP before down some stairs and it somehow stayed in tac so...toshiba ive used and ive liked them but i prefer HP and compaq...yeah im gonna go look at walmart (hate walmart) Best buy...Staples....Radio shack...anywhere that sells laptops...then after that im buying a vista retail CD...i hate store bought laptops with all the shit on them...but alright thanks Shadow

i did that i checked everything...i used my old board that works Great actually i just found out and i tested my CPU...turns out my CPU is done for so...its like 8 months old anyhow and tigerdirect dont even sell it anymore so...im just happy it wasnt my new Mobo i was scared for a moment there...luckily Newegg RMAed my new CPU because they sent it and it was broken and itll be here soon so..thank god for that...

can someone on here maybe give me a link to a laptop thats good and under 1000 preferably like maybe 800 and lower but as long as it is under 1000?...it can be anything...Dell...HP...compaq...but No Mac...lol thxs =)

well im not sure whats going on but..on my main computer (im on a backup i made) i hit the power button and it starts up like all the fans spin and everything but no display...im not sure...im thinking maybe trying to pull the jumpers and let them out for about 30 secs and put them back in and also maybe replacing CMOS battery...but if theres sumthin else then someone help... PS: my graphic cards work fine ive already tested those....RAM works fine also...Power supply does also...its either CPU or Mobo or my bios got all screwed and i need to clear jumpers...but before i do that im just seeing if maybe someone else knows...

just to help you out maybe you should custom build your computer instead of spending all that money it might help you out

im sorry to tell you this chained but man you should have built it yourself it would have been cheaper and you can get way better CPU's for the price...and way better other parts for the money... PS...if you ever wanna buld a custom computer theres alot of techys here who can help you with it im telling you...i build my own but hey i ask for help from some of these people...and im telling you they will help you out if you ask for it...

Does Every AM3 Motherboard support Every AM3 Processor? other than the Wattage for the CPU's...95w support and such i know about...

see what ive heard was the i7 CPU's have glitches in them...im thinking i might just buy an intel core 2 quad but like my comp is really glitchy i bought a fuckin glitchy phenom which they wont let me replace and my damn Mobo is Foxconn and there equipment is shit so...im thinking im gonna buy some cheap shit to make an AMD computer and have that for a comp for a while or ill build a cheap intel computer for now and then later get a better one with an i7 or core 2 Quad Extreme...hmm...
