Jager Posted May 8, 2010 Content Count: 1300 Joined: 06/24/07 Status: Offline Share Posted May 8, 2010 just reinstall steam to the same area, or if you want a fresh start right click each game you own in the games library and go to properties, then local content and use the backup option then reinstall steam. I searched for "overlay crash friends" and found 14 topic only made today seems like a big problem main reason(the thing they all have the same): Battlefield BC2. apperntly when you get an achievement there is a change in a text file which makes the overlay unstable 2 best fixes I pulled out of it: 1) Try to boot cs:s while steam is offline mode and go online when cs:s is running if it gives an error, close the game, start it in online mode and hope for the best 2) try deleting steam and only installing css, and no other games more I couldnt find, but I`ll keep my eye on the techforum for you edit: steam/valve worker/moderator is deleting most of the threads, he merged all helpfull posts into one topic but the link he gave is dead, I`ll try to reach him Edited May 8, 2010 by crazy_tim412 Link to comment
