iPhone OS 4.0

Well looks like today they showed off the new OS for iPhone and the iPad. THe iPad won't get the new OS till a month after it's out for the phones. But looks like if you are a 3G iPhone user you are up the creek. Does not fully support the 3G and 2G phones.

 

You are getting what people have been screaming for and now the Droid has to make new Ads:)

 

Multitasking

Fast app switching

Local notifications

App folders

A new Mail app

iBooks

Custom backgrounds

Game Center

iAd advertising

5x digital zoom

Bluetooth keyboards

There never will be flash for iPhone/iTouch

 

One thing I find the iPhone lacks is a decent camera, 3.2MP is outdated, let alone no zoom or flash..

we mentioned before why it will never happen and it has to do with hacking...

 

I like the new upgrades..I hope the 3gs will benefit from it..

The only things Id really like on there though is being able to have custom SMS tones...the default ones are SOOOOOOOOOOOOOO fucking anoying..

4.0 adds 5x digital zoom. and sure, it does have quite a "dated" resolution, but the iphone's camera quality far outpaces nearly every camera on a phone i've seen.

I use a second gen iPod touch, and there is this way *cough cough* to get all the things that 4.0 already has...so its kinda pointless for me IMO
