Thoughts on the New Steam?

You guys hate everything new, I been using this beta for weeks and I like it, I admit I wasn't happy first time I opened it. Shift tab menu is best.

i upgraded and it deleted all my CSS skins, maps, sprays, and now i can't even connect to the Steam store in the client.

My Shift+Tab is a little delayed but other than that I have no problems.

I love being able to launch most things from the Taskbar.

I personally like the new UI, It seems a bit more streamlined and my in-game panel comes up quicker.

 

On a side note.. Was I the only person to get confusededed by the post on the firs page that said "It's like pussy on aids"?

It's cool, but tons of people are having issues with it.

Only issues I've got with it is that it makes my screen flash while in game, while doing shift-tab. Other then that, I like it.

its more lined out and easier to handle

 

But for the people that hate it.

steam declared that the v3 (now we have v4) will be brought as a option

but for now you can download the skin made by fans

People are afraid of change.

 

So therefore, they will hate it but will learn to live with it.

 

It doesn't really matter to me.

 

I do believe that that is true in many situations but not as much in this one. Everybody thinks that if they've had something for too long, they need to refresh it and try something else... even when they had the best possible set-up in the first place.

 

However, I do believe people will get used to the new steam fairly quickly.
