csgo makes my computer stutter

Whenever I launch cs:go, after a min or two my computer will start to stutter - freeze for a few seconds, resume for one, freeze, resume, etc

It does not stop when I close cs:go, however it starts after launching it

Only way to stop it has been to either restart or turn off my computer

No other game does this

I have verified game files

I have reinstalled

I have no connection issues

In task manager, it looks like the disk usage might be going up by around 17% on the system background process whenever it freezes and back down to 0% or 1% but I can't tell that well

Anyone know why it's doing this?

I had this exact problem a few weeks ago. I clean booted by computer and it fixed it.

it was looking like this worked until it started again...it took longer though and is freezing less (attempted after csgo updated)

Dang, I also completely reinstalled steam, but I dont think that did anything. Really sorry, I know how frustrating this is.

Try this maybe:

Not sure if relevant to be honest.

That's more or less for ingame FPS issues, different problem from mine, still tried it though

Had the same thing a little while ago, did you check your package loss?

but...this has nothing to do with internet problems :( 0% loss anyways

Also, my CPU seems to go really high on the spikes
