So my new laptop got stolen last night at the military base I was staying at (of all places)... Pending the military police investigation and base sweep I'll be getting a new one asap. I'll check forums and steam on mobile but no gaming for me til then.

The base functions as a primary training center and range for the army here in Canada. It hosts national and international range and combat shooting competitions - however for me, we train here weekly in a separate area for the program I work for.

Welp, no sign of the laptop and I don't think it'll ever return. There goes 900 dollars

 

I think I'm going to build a desktop rig instead of getting a new lappy, because I have my work one which I'm using now. Might ask some of you peeps for some assistance

Yep, i'm still cheesed over it.

 

 

On the bright side... I got fully reimbursed for it! However the stipulation in that is that I had to buy another laptop instead of desktop parts. Not super bummed as I got a better laptop with an i7 processor and nvidia gfx card instead of built in Intel graphics. So I'm happy!
