Jailbreak Guide for New Players!

As an admin who frequently plays Jailbreak, I am baffled by the number of players who just join and get killed by a Guard as a Prisoner and then automatically leaves, So I'm creating this so hopefully this could be put to use allowing not only help any players returning or just joining us with any questions they have. Because I love this community and the servers we have to offer so I figure why not have this to ensure you stay longer as realize how great this community really is!

What is Jailbreak?

What is Jailbreak you may ask? Jailbreak is a Roleplay game mode that consists of two teams, Counter-Terrorists which are the Guards and Terrorists who are the Prisoners. The Guards give the Prisoners orders to follow by and if they do not follow the order it can result in a "Warning Shot". While being ordered around by the Guards(Counter-Terrorist) the Prisoner's(Terrorist) role is to try to rebel and try to kill all the remaining CTs and take control of the prison. Prisoners(Terrorist) are able to sneak away from the guards through a multitude of secrets and vents placed throughout the map. An example of some can be...

• A Secret within a cell that allows access to another area

• A vent that leads directly to armory

• As well as guns placed inside some secrets around the map

What are the roles of a Guard

The Role they have is a simple yet sometimes extremely complex and difficult job. The Guards give the Prisoners orders to follow by and if they do not follow the order it can result in a "Warning Shot". While that might not seem like a lot it can be extremely challenging to control 30+ Prisoners when their main goal is to try and sneak away from the remaining Prisoners without being notices by the Guards and try to take control of the prison.

How to be a better Guard

If you trying to be a better Guard I suggest having a crowd of Guards controlling not only the front but all angles of the Prisoners which will make it much harder for the Prisoners to sneak off while you are escorting them to the next area. As well as removing any contraband from the area you are leading the Prisoners too making it very hard for them to gain access to it. Another tip is NEVER to have your back to a Prisoner because they will take any chance they get to kill you because once a single Prisoner has a Primary Weapon it a can lead to a world of problems.

Some examples of orders you have as a Guard

• Take one step out, face the back, crouch and freeze

• All T's bomb rush to the bottom of main cell stairs, face cells and be shoulder to shoulder frozen

• Shift walk to Big Cage, be on a box and be frozen

• Crouch walk, no jumping to soccer be on the pitch, actively be playing soccer

Some orders that you ARE NOT allowed to give as a Guard on our server is

• AFK Freeze

• Cardinal Orders (North, South, West, East)

• Order T's to have a Warday

• As well as declaring themselves Warden

What are the roles of a Prisoner

Your main role as a Prisoner is to do one thing and that is taking control of the prison. While being ordered around by the Guards the Prisoner's role is to try to rebel and try to kill all the remaining CTs. Which again is easier said than done because we have some player who has been a Guard for more than 5,000+ minutes. As a new player like yourself, I suggest trying to sneak out of your cell through one of the cell secrets I mentioned above because it is not only easier than some of the secrets but can ultimately lead to a better secret that can lead you towards or closer to Armoury.

How to be a better Prisoner

If you're trying to be a better "Rebeller" I suggest using the already loud and chaotic crowd of your fellow Prisoners and shoot at the Guards if you happen to pick up a weapon because as a Guard you rarely shoot into a crowd of Prisoners because you don't want accidental crossfire. As well as later on down the line once you really start to become a better rebelled there are some secrets which require a lot of knowledge on what buttons to push that can lead to a secret that not many know of, for example, the 2 buttons and the maze/obstacle course on jb_moonjail_sgedit that must be completed to give an overpowered secret.

Oh and thanks to Bright for making one in the first place! It really got me thinking about making one!

If you feel Chad and I have left anything out please let us know!

Just my own opinion but the rules shouldn’t really be in a guide. A guide is suppose to give a quick rundown of the game mode, not teach them the rules of the server.

You can shoot into a crowd as long as you’re not free damaging others and kill the rebeller.

The whole “How to be a better [...]” is nice but is a bit too much and examples / tips given can vary between players.

Yeah that's why we only suggested on how to play starting off and the only reason we really included the rules was just to keep everything in one area, but you are right on what you said so I went and fixed it

Steven, is this what you were doing instead of sleeping? I'll make sure to save this link because I myself found it refreshing to read, and it looks more aesthetically pleasing to read and understand than the rules page on the server does.
