Too bad this type of entertainment is getting shittier and shittier and shittier and shittier every year. The FPS genre has already been ruined and the RTS genre is hibernating.

That's a good rig, but it's probably more beneficial to build your PC from the ground up so if any problems arise you can easily find the solution... plus you can probably save a couple bucks and get a couple more upgrades.

Not much to advise here but go with Nvidia, Intel, and a 64-bit OS so the RAM can actually be used, not like you need more than 4 gigs of ram anyways... Pretty simple. Intel>AMD to Performance AMD>Intel to price Nvidia>ATI to performance ATI>Nvidia to price and in some cases power consumption+space. If you're willing to sacrifice price for performance go with a Intel,Nvidia mix. If you're willing to sacrifice performance for price then go with a ATI,AMD mix (then you'll probably get to use AMD overdrive but you won't really need that if you don't like touching the clock multipliers of your CPU).

Kapono was traded for Evans just a couple weeks ago and I'm hoping he brings something new to the table. The raps did great when they had Sam Mitchell as coach and the players have been lacking a bit since he was replaced.

If you're willing to burn a hole through your wallet, pants, underwear, and skin then... -A X4 processor would probably be better if you're keeping that computer for a long time. A Intel 3.2GHz Core i7 975 Extreme or AMD Phenom X4 940 depending on your motherboard. Intel reigns supreme regarding performance right now though. -MSI Eclipse SLI Motherboard if you're using an i7 processor. -Get a Nvidia Geforce GTX 295 -Seagate Barracuda 7200.11 1.5TB for capacity. -Western Digital Velociraptor 300GB for performance. -The Gateway XHD3000 is probably the best 30inch monitor you could get right now. - For the cooler you could with a Thermalright Ultra-120 eXtreme. - For the ram you could easily find great sticks at corsair, kingston, ocz, patriot, mushkin, crucial. - Corsair HX1000W is a nice power supply. and for the sound card, a X-Fi Titanium would suffice. *If I had enough money I would buy that :-) but alas, only a person like me can dream of having PCs like these.
