um i have vista and this happens alot. I'll play around with it. But i think there is a icon on the toolbar that will pop up. I would say uninstall the GT software and if it happens again, it must be your monitor Edit: Its called Intel graphic accelerator, its used to change my settings. But i also know it might be due to a install error with the OS. Because if you change the res and apply, it should stay.
